This is my favorite quote of the article:

“The rising number of bank failures has infuriated some politicians who have recently begun pressuring Ms. Bair’s regulators to ease up on their increasingly close supervision of the industry.”

Translation: “Banks are failing because you are regulating them. Regulate them less. Yes that will fix them and make them healthy again.”

And they wonder why we have no faith and confidence in our government.
